Maryann Leal Castorena, 39, also of Park Township, is being held on a $1 million bond.

The woman was interviewed several times since the body of Jose Hernandez, 38, was found next to his running car near the Amberwood Apartments on Jan. 6, said Capt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

“She’s not charged with murder,” Bennett said. “She is charged with obstructing and lying to police.”

Hernandez’s family reported him missing when he did not show up for his late shift job in Hudsonville Monday night.

Deputies found him in the snow next to his running car on Ambertrace Drive near the intersection of 152nd Avenue and Ottawa Beach Road.

Police said they believe the man died Sunday evening and that the car could have been running for 24 hours.

Hernandez died of multiple blunt-force traumas to the head, Bennett said.

Police are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer at 1-877-88 SILENT.

It's a shame you commenters are picking on someone who is truly down and out. Innocent until proven guilty. Bet your lives are pretty swell. Bully for you.

In comparison to hers, yes my life is swell. Then again, I didn't lie to investigators in regards to the murder of my ex-boyfriend. She may in fact be innocent of charges, but there is no excuse for a duck face. I'll go ahead and accept that title of bully when it comes to someone of her current high social standing.

I thought she was blowing someone a kiss... I'll leave it at that.
