Jodie C. McLean was arraigned Thursday on an open charge of murder. Judge Susan Jonas has ordered McLean to remain in the Ottawa County jail until a probable cause hearing.

Police said McLean attacked Steven M. Gordon at about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday during a domestic dispute. She and Gordon shared a room in a house. McLean stabbed him in the chest with a kitchen knife, police said.

The Ottawa County Medical Examiner's office said the man died early Thursday.

The Holland Sentinel reported that police say McLean has a record for repeated domestic violence, drunken driving and assault.
