Deputies returned to the Robbins Road storage facility for further investigation at about 5:30 p.m. and caught a 47-year-old Grand Haven woman inside, said Capt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
Items from the storage unit, including a wheelchair, were found inside her vehicle.
Bennett said the woman was arrested on charges of breaking and entering as well as possession of burglary tools.
Deputies originally responded to the location shortly after 4 p.m. Monday when the renter discovered the blue stuffed monkey hanging by a jump rope noose.
Attached to the monkey was a note: “This is you!!!” Read Hanging Monkey Investigated story HERE.
