Body found in Lake Michigan

Authorities are working to identify a body found in Lake Michigan near Ludington.

The Ludington Daily News reported three bicyclists found the body at about 7 p.m. Tuesday on the shore, about three miles north of Big Point Sable Lighthouse.

Mason County Undersheriff Jody Hartley said the body appears to be a man, about 6 feet tall. He said the body may have been in the water for several months.

Authorities in Wisconsin and bordering counties are being asked if they have anyone missing.
