Police said the body of a 20-year-old Georgetown Township man was found Saturday evening alongside the tracks near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Chicago Drive. Investigators determined the man was not hit by a train, WZZM-TV reported.

A forensic autopsy performed Monday at Blodgett Medical Center in Grand Rapids determined the cause of death as suicide, said Capt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

The man’s name and other details of the incident will not be released, Bennett said.
