Fire chief charged in domestic case

The chief of the Montague Fire Department has been charged with two offenses related to a domestic incident.

Dennis Roesler, 51, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.

The charges stem from an alleged domestic dispute in which no one was injured.

Roesler was arrested Wednesday, when the alleged crime occurred. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted of the charges.
