Firefighters battle fully-involved house fire

(Updated: 11:26 a.m.) A Robinson Township home caught fire at about 10:50 a.m. Monday, and quickly became a raging inferno.

Firefighters from area stations rushed to the structure fire in the 12200 block of 112th Avenue, between Lincoln and Buchanon.

They called for backup tankers or pumper trucks shortly after 11 a.m., and were going in to search the home at 11:18 a.m.

Neighbors said they heard an explosion and soon after they heard sirens. A single man and his dog live in the home. The man was not home at the time of the fire.
