The car was westbound on I-96 just east of 112th Avenue when the crash occurred at about 2:10 p.m. Sunday.

Police said it is unknown why the white Grand Am left the road.

It is possible that the driver, a 41-year-old Norman Moore of Grand Rapids, experienced a medical issue at the time, said Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

Moore and his 8-year-old son, Tellios, were transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with non-life-threatening injuries,” Austin said.
