Another big win for GH girls lacrosse

Grand Haven’s varsity girls lacrosse team continued to dominate the opposition, scoring an 18-2 win over Comstock Park on Wednesday.

Anya Berghoef had two goals and an assist for the Bucs, who improve to 11-1 on the season.

Casey Davis, Alli Lawson and Anna Gagnon each added a pair of goals, while single goals were provided by Brooke Lonergan, Paige Lonergan, Emily Betten, Val Gonnella, Savannah Tallman, Savannah Albright, Meara Williamson, Courtney Hylok, Claire Reenders and Maddie Bryant.

Olivia Saber, Reenders, Betten, Madalyn Hanson, Brooke Lonergan and Val Gonnella each had an assist for the Bucs.

Coach Kimberly Vincent credited Mekenzie Anderson with six ground balls, while Davis added five ground balls and Reenders four.

Lonergan and Gonnella each caused a pair of turnovers for the Bucs.

Grand Haven will look to continue its outstanding season at Grand Rapids Northview on Monday.
