The Buccaneers’ girls lacrosse team put together the best season in school history this spring, but that season came crashing to a halt Friday night.
Grand Haven (13-3) suffered a 21-10 loss at the hands of Forest Hills United (4-11) at Buccaneer Stadium.
The Bucs trailed 12-6 at halftime, and Forest Hills continued to build on its lead in the second half.
Claire Reenders had a solid game for the Bucs, finishing with three goals and an assist, along with two caused turnovers and one ground ball.
Emily Betten added two balls and an assist, while Anna Gagnon had two goals and four ground balls.
Savannah Albright had a goal and an assist, while Savannah Tallman and Oliva Saber also scored.
Courtney Hylok had six ground balls, while Alli Lawson, Carly Czinder and Val Gonnella played well.
Autumn Eslick was in goal for Grand Haven. She faced 32 shots.
