Grand Haven chipped away at a 5-0 deficit, with back-to-back triples by Mikayla Gronback and Jordan Buckingham in the third inning.

A small Buccaneer rally in the sixth was halted at two runs. With the tying run on second, Kentwood pitcher Abby Highway struck the next batter out and caused an infield popup to secure the victory for the Falcons.

Offensive leaders for the Bucs were Maddie Barshaw (two hits), Gronback (3-for-4, one triple) and Buckingham (one double, one triple).
