The score puts Kramer in sixteenth heading in today’s action, the second portion of the two-day competition.
“He had 31 putts, and didn’t putt well, but he did play steady,” said coach George Bitner on Friday. “He played with two of the worst golfers there. He had to overcome that mentally. He didn’t have good competition today, but he should have good competition tomorrow.”
The play was fairly in line with Kramer’s typical performance. Kramer shot a 75 at Cedar Chase Golf course to qualify at last week’s regional, and he rarely goes over 80. Ben’s sister Anna finished fourth in the girls portion of the competition this fall.
