Tri-Cities Kids League teams in multiple divisions opened their seasons on Saturday, with a special ceremony taking place at the boys’ minor league opener between the Tincaps and the Marlins at Ferry Elementary School.

Grand Haven Mayor Geri McCaleb threw out the opening pitch to Mayor Pro Tem Mike Fritz. Alicia Bakale wowed the crowd with a beautiful rendition of the national anthem, while City Manager Pat McGinnis announced the game, introducing the players before the game and calling the boys’ names as they came up to bat.

See results of this weekend's games in Monday's print edition or e-edition of the Grand Haven Tribune.
