Craymer lights it up at all-star game

Grand Haven’s Taylor Craymer put together a tremendous effort in helping her D&W All-Stars team beat Family Fare, 41-40, in the Champions of Character All-Star Basketball Classic at Cornerstone University on Wednesday.

Craymer scored a game-high 19 points and also pulled down 11 rebounds for the D&W All-Stars.

Craymer, who will play basketball at Northwood University next fall, was red-hot from the floor, knocking down five 3-pointers.

Emily Kozal, a Forest Hills Northern grad, scored 10 points for the D&W squad.

Cassidy Vredevoogd of South Christian added four points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Family Fare. Leah Somerfield of Grandville added nine points and 11 rebounds.
