Noah Hendricks scored the lone goal against the Maroon Giants, beating the last defender and hitting the far post with a shot from close range.  Zack Shane got the assist, in his first varsity game. Alec Parker and Lucas Leslie were impressive in defense, and goalie Connen Deneen earned the shutout with nine saves.

Central actually outshot Fruitport in the gritty contest, 9-6.

Play opened up a bit more in Game 2, which turned out to be unfortunate for the Trojans.

After a scoreless first half, Portage Northern scored two goals early in the second.

Fruitport came back with a late score by Cameron Brandow. Bryant Rebone had the assist.

The Trojans continued to press and take chances, but were unable to find the back of the net again.

Conner Deneen came up with five saves in the loss.
