Grand Haven’s tennis team won its home quad on Wednesday, besting Mona Shores, Spring Lake and North Muskegon.

The Buccaneers’ 16 points put them ahead of the Sailors (15), Lakers (12) and Norsemen (5).

Grand Haven had a champion in both the singles and doubles’ flights.

Three was the lucky number for the Buccaneers as No. 3 singles Riley Wilton defeated Mona Shores’ John Hunt (6-3, 6-2), North Muskegon’s Bobby Tarrant (6-0, 6-4) and Spring Lake’s Tyler Strandberg (6-2, 6-2).

The No. 3 doubles pairing of Nathan Sexton and Dylan Shenefield was also victorious.

Only two of Grand Haven’s eight flights had losing record on the day.

Spring Lake also had two flight champions, in No. 2 singles Trevor Zenas and No. 4 doubles Aaron Tilton and Tanner Hoag.
