The former Kentucky Wildcat finished with 21 points and 9 rebounds in another dominating performance. Davis is shooting 65 percent, averaging 19 points and 6.3 rebounds in the tournament.
Davis is imposing his will in just 21 minutes per game. He’s been the anchor for Team USA by controlling the paint on defense as a regular shot-blocking threat. Davis has been just as forceful and smooth on offense while playing conservatively.
He hasn’t forced shots and averages seven free throw attempts.
The United States has games against the Dominican Republic and Ukraine looming to close out pool play. Every team plays Wednesday and Thursday to wrap up pool play, with the round of 16 beginning Saturday in Madrid and Barcelona.
