SL golf defeats Whitehall in opener

Spring Lake varsity golf team opened its season in winning fashion last week, with the Lakers topping Whitehall at Spring Lake Country Club, 163-185. Sophomore Henry McGannon fired the low round for the Lakers with a 38. Marcus Fry carded a 40, David Bonter finished with a 41, and Nic Parnell and Thomas Marine each scored a 44. Spring Lake returns to the links on April 14 at the Ludington Invitational.
