Grand Haven’s varsity girls soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to O-K Red Conference powerhouse East Kentwood on Friday.
The Buccaneers fall to 0-2-2 on the season.
“It was a brutal game because of the weather,” coach Cor Damhuis said. “We kept battling, and that’s what’s important.”
Junior Varsity: Grand Haven blanked East Kentwood, 3-0, behind two goals from Claire Borchers and a score from Lindy Vallier. Faith Platz and Stephanie Szymas shared time in goal for the Bucs.
