FRUITPORT SOCCER TIES PAIR OF GAMES
Fruitport’s varsity girls soccer team recorded a pair of ties during a mini-tournament on Saturday.
Fruitport opened with a 0-0 tie against Forest Hills Northern. The Trojans held a 4-2 advantage in shots, but neither team was able to put a ball in the net.
Lindsey Armstrong made one save for Fruitport.
Later, the Trojans tied Petoskey, 0-0, despite holding a 7-1 advantage in shots. Armstrong was again perfect in goal, stopping the lone shot she faced.
BUCS’ JV TEAM TIES EK
Grand Haven and East Kentwood played to a 0-0 tie. Alyssa Hayward played outstanding defense, and Caitlyn Ploeg also played well for the Bucs.
