Lumberjacks open second round of USHL playoffs tonight

With a resounding sweep of Team USA over the weekend, the Muskegon Lumberjacks emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the United States Hockey League's second season. The Jacks outscored the developmental program 7-2 in a pair of games at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube and now will face the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the second round of the Clark Cup Playoffs.

The series opens tonight at 8:05 at the Stable in Cedar Rapids. Game 2 is Friday at 8:05 p.m. in Cedar Rapids, and Game 3 is Saturday at 7:15 p.m. at the L.C. Walker Arena. If necessary, Game 4 would be played on Monday in Muskegon. Game 5 — if necessary — would take place back in in Cedar Rapids on April 27.

The Lumberjacks and RoughRiders both went 2-2 in their four-game regular-season series.
