GH lacrosse scores key win in overtime

Grand Haven's varsity boys lacrosse team scored an 8-7 overtime victory against Grand Rapids Northview on Thursday. Junior attack Trevor Modzeleski led the Bucs with three goals, including the game-winner. "This was a huge win for us,' Grand Haven coach Murle Greer said. "Northview was undefeated in conference and in first place. We were down 6-4 at half but the boys came out strong in the second and dominated possession time.

Junior midfielder Matt Burns had a goal and four assists for the Bucs (7-5). Senior attack Elliot Karafa added two goals and an assist. Garrit Boone had two assists, including setting up Modzeleski’s game winner.

Junior Varsity: Grand Haven won, improving its record to 10-1 on the year.
