Soccer roundup: SL wraps up regular-season league title

Spring Lake wrapped up the regular-season Lakes Eight Conference girls soccer championship with a 6-0 win over Fremont on Wednesday. The Lakers, who have won or shared the league title each of the last four years, are now 7-5 overall and 6-0 in league play. They will meet Ludington in a make-up game on Friday, then host an opening round-game of the Lakes Eight tournament on Monday. Kelsey Kippe scored twice against the Packers on Wednesday. Brooke TenBrink, Katie Albright, Emily Walling and Morgan Gagnon also scored goals, while Gagnon added a pair of assists.
