Soccer roundup: Bucs stung by shutout loss, injuries

Grand Haven's varsity girls soccer team suffered numerous losses on Tuesday at Grandville High School. The Buccaneers suffered a 4-0 setback to the Bulldogs. In addition, defender Stephanie Tabor left the game with a knee injury and Belle Vanderlaan went down with an ankle injury during the contest. The Bucs were outshot 11-7. "They basically dominated us. It was a nice, physical game,' said Grand Haven coach Cor Damhuis. The Bucs open O-K Red Conference tournament play on Thursday. WMC FALLS IN OT

Host Tri-Unity Christian scored early and late in the first half and early in the overtime to edge Western Michigan Christian on Tuesday, 3-2.

The Defenders found the net in the opening minutes and then added a goal with a minute left in the half to take a 2-0 lead at intermission.
