Baseball roundup: Bucs blanked by Hudsonville

Grand Haven suffered a 6-0 baseball loss at the hands of the Hudsonville Eagles on Tuesday. The Bucs' Adam Krizan had two hits while Matt Kroll, Doug Zelenka, Adam Poel and Jeff Stevens each added one hit. Grand Haven couldn't push a run across the plate thanks to a strong outing by the Eagles' Tyler Barr, who issued just one walk and struck out six over seven innings of work. Western Michigan Christian won a doubleheader with Tri-Unity Christian Tuesday at McCrea Park by scores of 2-0 and 11-7.

In the first game, sophomore Collin Adams went all seven innings and recorded the shutout. Tim Schuitema, Jake Wall and Matt Wisen each went 1-for-3 while Chase Sutter was 1-for-2.

In the second game, Omari Lewis went the distance on the mound. Schuitema was 3-for-5, Wall, Lewis and Christian Brower were 2-for-4 and Wisen 3-for-4.
