Henry McGannon and Fry each shot a 39 in the Fremont jamboree while David Bonter added a 40 and Parnell a 41.

Ludington finished second in the league standings, followed by Fremont, Grant, Tri-County, Fruitport, Newyago and Orchard View.

Fry finished as the league’s No. 1 golfer, followed by McGannon. Bonter was ffith, Vanderlaan sixth and Erik Johnson eighth in the final league standings.

The Lakers, ranked No. 1 in the state, advance to Friday’s Division 2 district meet at Cedar Chase Golf Course.

“We feel we can get out of districts,” coach George Bitner said. “We’re still rated No. 1, which I don’t understand, but maybe that will urge us on. It’s a tough course, a tough district.”

The Lakers finished 12-0 in dual matches this spring.
