Haller joins SLCC pro staff

With women's golf taking center stage at Spring Lake Country Club this week, some of the attention should focus on the club's newest assistant golf professional, Louise Haller. Haller came to SLCC earlier this year after serving as a golf professional at a pair of public courses in Northwest Indiana the past several years. She jumped at the chance to move north and bring her talents to Spring Lake Country Club.

“This is my first real country club experience, and it’s a little different, but it’s been great,” Haller said. “I’m doing a little bit of everything, giving a lot of lessons.”

She’s also spending a lot of time working with SLCC’s junior golfers, in addition to her duties in the pro shop.

“I’ve really been welcomed here. It’s going really good,” Haller said.

Haller joins a staff that includes Josh Lathwell, who has been the club’s head golf professional since 2002; and assistant professional Ray Davis, who joined SLCC in 2005.

Haller played golf collegiately at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisc.
