Golf roundup: Bucs on the bottom at O-K Red preseason meet

Grand Haven's varsity girls golf team placed seventh out of seven teams at Wednesday's O-K Red Conference preseason meet, which will count for a quarter of the final league standings The Bucs' round of 447 was 16 strokes better than their effort at Monday's Jenison Invitational, but still well off the pace of event winner Grandville, which shot at 378.

The Bucs were led by Kristen Carlson, who shot a 108, and Sierra Olthoff, who carded a 109. Martha Ramsey and Hailey Watkins were next at 115, while Amanda Merz shot a 116 and Kaitlin Depekel at 120.
