Hulings switching to WMC for girls soccer

Veteran soccer coach David Hulings will soon be coaching both the boys and girls soccer teams at Western Michigan Christian High. He resigned earlier this week as the girls varsity soccer coach at Fruitport High School after 19 seasons. Hulings is in his seventh season coaching the WMC boys where his teams have won state championships in 2007 and 2010. He is the only girls coach Fruitport has had and he posted a 213-118-25 record with the Trojans. Hulings plans to expand his ministry at WMC.

“Along with the boys’ program at WMC, they have offered me the opportunity to head up the girls’ program and begin a formal education program for the WMC coaching staff, in all sports,” Hulings said in his letter of resignation.

He will replace Dan McAllister, who has resigned as the WMC girls coach.
