SL swimming chalks up pair of wins at double dual

Spring Lake's varsity swimming and diving squad was impressive in a double dual meet with Fremont and host West Catholic on Wednesday, with the Lakers taking either first- or second-place in all but four events in their two victories. The Lakers defeated the Packers by a 147-36 score, and topped the Falcons in a 127-59 finish.

“It was a great meet for us,” said Spring Lake coach Nikki Theune. “It was nice to win again after having some tough challenges in the past couple of weeks. It was a great moral booster for the girls and it was nice to see the hard work from practice show up tonight at the meet.”
