Prep soccer: Local teams continue to dominate

Grand Haven senior Jake Vanderlaan scored a hat trick - all in the opening 20 minutes - leading the Buccaneers to a dominating 5-0 victory over rival West Ottawa on Thursday. Nate Rose assisted on Vanderlaan's first goal. Mike Moran set up the second, and the third was unassisted. Grand Haven senior Jake Vanderlaan scored a hat trick — all in the opening 20 minutes — leading the Buccaneers to a dominating 5-0 victory over rival West Ottawa on Thursday.

Nate Rose assisted on Vanderlaan’s first goal. Mike Moran set up the second, and the third was unassisted.

Cory Vanderlaan scored the Bucs’ fourth goal on an assist from Matt Davis as Grand Haven led 4-0 at halftime.
