Volleyball roundup: Grandville's rally gives Bucs first loss in O-K Red

In a battle to remain unbeaten in the O-K Red Conference, Grandville prevailed over visiting Grand Haven by turning in a stunning comeback - three wins in a row while facing do-or-die in a best-of-5 games match. Grand Haven coach Katy Walters said the ‘Dawgs achieved the feat by simply outworking the Bucs (21-9 overall, 2-1 O-K Red).

“They just wanted it more than we did, and that’s a problem right now,” Walters said, following the Bucs’ 19-25, 14-25, 25-23, 26-24, 17-15 setback. “We expect that teams are just going to quit playing after we win the first two games, and nobody is going to do that. We need to make some changes if we want to be successful in our conference and in the postseason.”
