Soccer roundup: GH notches sixth shutout of season

Grand Haven's varsity soccer team remained undefeated on the season with a 3-0 win over Forest Hills Central on Saturday. The Buccaneers scored all three of their goals after halftime, starting with Andrew Byrne's scrpapy goal off an assist from Willie Bennick and Jake Vanderlaan. Minutes later, Vanderlaan scored, assisted by Andrew Byrne. The Bucs' final goal came from Spencer Toepfer on a great pass from Vanderlaan.

Defensively, Nick Kline, Matt Davis, Ryan Schoonover, Andrew Wadaga and Kevin Lacroix teamed up with goalie Ethan Beswick to notch the team’s sixth shutout of the season.
