GH golf sixth at postseason league tourney

Grand Haven's girls golf team placed sixth at Thursday's O-K Red postseason tournament, which was held at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale. Grandville and East Kentwood tied for the league title, with Hudsonville finishing just one stroke behind the leaders. Sophomore Martha Ramsey shot a career-low 96 for the Bucs, including a 45 on the front nine. Kira Glass and Amanda Merz each shot personal-best rounds of 110.

“Martha had a birdie and several pars,” coach Roger Glass said. “It just all came together for her today.”

Katelyn DePrekel shot a 114, Hailey Watkins a 116, and Kristin Carlson a 119.

The Bucs will compete in the Division 1 regional tournament at El Dorado Golf Course in Mason next Thursday.
