MDOT offers online help to those driving to Lions, Tigers games

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is doing its part to help fans arrive safely and on time in Detroit today and Tuesday for the American League Division Series. In order to help motorists plan ahead, MDOT has posted major lane closures and restrictions all in one convenient location online for the games between the Detroit Tigers and the New York Yankees on Oct. 3 and 4.

Appropriately titled "Getting to Comerica Park," the information appears in the rotating spotlight section on the MDOT home page at www.michigan.gov/mdot.

Motorists also are advised to "Know before they go" and check traffic flow, lane closure information, weather forecasts and live camera views of major Michigan freeways on Mi Drive, MDOT’s traffic Web site, at www.michigan.gov/drive.
