Fruitport Calvary girls look to finish over .500

The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team returns all of its players from last year's team that finished 10-12 overall and 5-7 in the Alliance League.

“We do have a chance to be good if the kids keep working as hard as they’ve been doing,” coach Brad Richards said. “I put together the toughest nonconference schedule in school history with four bigger public schools (Hart, North Muskegon, Grand River Prep and Walkerville).”

Richards is thrilled to have Taylor Richards back for another season. As an eighth grader a year ago, she averaged 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, earning all-area first-team honors.
