Senior John Waller led WMC with 16 points. Junior Collin Adams and sophomore Bernard Smith added 13 points each. DeKam had seven rebounds and Smith had six.
TROJANS BITE BULLDOGS
Fruitport overwhelmed Ravenna in Tuesday’s season-opener for both teams, 63-32.
Three Trojans scored in double figures, led by Tyler Fehler, who was 4-for-4 from 3-point range and finished with 16 points.
Mike Reyes was 6-for-9 from the field and had 15 points, while Amilio Flores added 14 points.
Reyes also grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out five assists for the Trojans.
FRUITPORT CALVARY WINS OPENER
Fruitport Calvary Christian held Algoma Christian to just 23 percent shooting on Tuesday, helping the Eagles score a 50-32 season-opening victory.
It was the debut for Eagles’ head coach Jim Warren.
Calvary’s post players played a big role in the win, including Patrick Asdell, who led Calvary with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
