Late run helps WMC girls remain unbeaten

A 15-5 run in the final quarter propelled the host Western Michigan Christian Lady Warriors to a 56-38 comeback win over Muskegon Heights on Thursday.

Junior Rachel Bruinsma scored 14 of her 20 points in the second half. She also had seven rebounds.

WMC shot 57 percent from the field to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Junior Vanessa Eekhoff chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds while Miya Oakes added 12 points, six assists and five steals for WMC. Elyse Ray also had seven rebounds.

Diamond McGee led the Tigers with 13 points.

Junior Varsity: The Warriors scored a 32-18 win to remain undefeated at 4-0. Olivia Varnado and Jessica Knoll each tossed in eight points.
