Prep roundup: GH boys bowlers open with a win

Grand Haven's varsity boys bowling team opened its season with a 19-11 win over Muskegon on Monday thanks to a 10-0 advantage in Baker games.

The Bucs rolled Baker scores of 168 and 199 for a total of 367.

In the match play games, Grand Haven’s Shamar Stailey led the way with games of 201 and 182, winning two points.

John Morehouse opened with a 226 game, good for a point, while Nate Hix won a pair of points with games of 173 and 180.

WRESTLERS SHINE

Four different Grand Haven wrestlers earned runner-up finishes at Saturday’s Don Johnson Tournament in Lansing.

The Bucs’ Camden Bertucci was second at 103 pounds. Josh Juchartz, Allen Torres and Connor Moynihan also earned runner-up finishes for the Buccaneers.
