SL swimmers make a splash with win over Holland Christian

Spring Lake's varsity swim team made a huge statement on Thursday with a victory over a traditionally outstanding program in Holland Christian at the Holland Aquatic Center.

The Lakers had eight first-place finishes in the 101-83 final.

“This was an exciting win for us,” said Spring Lake coach Penny Zacek. “I cannot remember ever beating Holland Christian in a dual meet. Not sure if it’s a first-ever win against them, but it is the first in recent memory.”
