JV, Freshmen roundup: GH JV girls remain undefeated

GIRLS JUNIOR VARSITY Grand Haven scored a 38-26 win over Grand Rapids Catholic Central, led by Krysteena Davis, who had 14 points, five rebounds and seven steals. Mallory Beswick added eight point and eight steals, while Amanda Merz added six points for the Bucs (10-0).

Spring Lake saw its comeback effort come up short at Coopersville in a 35-31 loss. Breanna Williams  had seven points for the Lakers (9-2). Courtney Kyser added six points, and Grace Peterson scored four.
FRESHMEN
Grand Haven suffered a 28-22 loss to Grand Rapis Catholic Central on Tuesday, despite 13 points and 16 rebounds from Aby Kober. Katelyn Messer added five points and three steals and Amber Keefe totaled two points and five steals for the Bucs (7-3 overall).
Spring Lake pulled away for a 39-23 win over Coopersville, improving to 8-1. Kelsee Zuidema scored nine points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Randi Rice had nine points and six steals; Emily VanWingen provided nine points and four rebounds; and Ayna Gordon had 11 steals.
