The Lakers coughed up a 20-12 halftime lead to the Broncos, but came up big at the free throw line in the fourth quarter to pull out a 39-37 victory at Spring Lake High School.

The win improves the Lakers to 10-1 overall, while Coopersville falls to 3-7.

Spring Lake had only four players score, but its 1-2 low post punch of Evie Lorimer and Jessica Lewakowski was too much for the Broncos to handle. Lorimer continued her stellar season with another double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Lewakowski was one rebound shy of the mark with 10 points and nine rebounds.
