The Lakers jumped out to a 14-4 first-quarter lead behind six points from Evie Lorimer, and went on to lead 27-13 at halftime.
Fremont tried to get back into the game in the second half, but a pair of key 3-pointers by senior guard Morgan Gagnon helped the Lakers maintain their advantage.
“That’s one we needed,” said Lakers’ coach Rich Hyde, whose team is now 11-1 overall and 6-1 at the midway point of the Lakes Eight Conference season.
Gagnon’s contributions came after she missed the first half of the game because of a choir obligation.
“Morgan got here late, maybe the middle of the first quarter, because of choir,” Hyde said. “She came in and hit two big 3’s, one that put us back up 11 in the third quarter, then one to ice it with about four minutes left.”
