SL boys bowlers top WMC; girls fall to Warriors

Spring Lake's boys bowling club team eked out a 17.5-12.5 win over Western Michigan Christian on Thursday while the Lakers' girls fell short against the Warriors.

In the boys competition, WMC grabbed a 10-0 lead after the two Baker games.

In the match play portion of the meet, Spring Lake took control. TJ Kriger won a pair of points with his games of 236 and 162, while Josh Dixon took two points with games of 221 and 162. Dan Zwart earned a pair of points as he rolled a 213 and a 155.

In the girls’ competition, the Warriors claimed all 10 Baker points on their way to an 18-12 victory. WMC won the opening game, 120-81, and the second game, 99-95.

WMC maintained its advantage despite Spring Lake finishing with a 1,085-1,066 advantage in total pins during match games.
