The senior was joined by fellow students at WMC as he signed a national letter to attend Ferris State as a defensive back.

Waller had an outstanding freshman season on the WMC varsity soccer team before switching to football his sophomore year. WMC has a co-op football program with North Muskegon, where Waller starred at defensive back and running back during his three-year varsity career.

Waller said he was pursued by three or more other colleges, but chose Ferris because of the Christian character of newly appointed head coach Tony Annese and assistant coach Jack Schugars. Annese is taking over the reins at Ferris after spending the past three seasons rebuilding the Grand Rapids Community College football program into a national championship contender.
