West Ottawa is hosting the third annual “Pink Out” game on Friday during the boys and girls basketball doubleheader at West Ottawa’s North High School. Both

Grand Haven and West Ottawa will wear special-edition pink accented jerseys.

“All proceeds will benefit cancer research at Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids,” said GHHS teacher Chad Jettner. “It is part of the institute’s ‘Community for a Cure’ initiative, which brings communities together to raise awareness about cancer, celebrate survivors, honor loved ones who have died, and support cancer research.”

West Ottawa donated $35,000 to the American Cancer Society the past two years.

Shirts can be purchased the night of the game or at Grand Haven High School in the main office from 8 a.m until 3 p.m. through Friday.
