The Bucs skied well, placing fourth.

“We had three of our varsity girls miss the race as they were on their way to train in Utah with the U.S. Paralympic team,” said Bucs’ coach Tim Graham. “They will have the opportunity to train next to Olympic athletes, which will be inspirational to say the last.”

The Bucs’ Brittney Olds stayed behind and finished second in the slalom and third in the giant slalom. She was joined on the slopes by JV skiers Lindy Vallier, Sarah Hohmeyer and Hannah Landman. Vallier took 11th in the slalom and 20th in the giant slalom. Hohmeyer finished 31st in the giant slalom and 45th in the slalom, while Landman was 32nd in the GS and 35th in the slalom.

The Buccaneers’ boys placed seventh overall, led by Greg Page. He took 25th in the giant slalom and 27th in the slalom.

Lucas Walling turned in a strong effort as he placed 27th in the slalom and 30th in the GS. Jack Griffin was 34th in the slalom and 46th in the giant slalom, while Jack Leitner took 38th in the slalom and 47th in the GS.
