Fruitport Calvary starts strong in string of road games

Fruitport Calvary Christian's boys basketball team started on a positive note on its trio of road games this week, as the Eagles breezed past Hudsonville Freedom Christian, 53-29.

Guthrie Collins connected on a pair of 3-pointers and led Calvary with 16 points. Mark Carlson added 15 points, aided by a 6-of-7 showing from the free throw line.

Patrick Asdell added a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Calvary (12-2 overall) played without the services of center Michael Warren, who rolled his ankle during Friday’s game. He remains questionable for tonight’s game at Holland Black River.
