Lorimer returned to the court last Friday after a five-game absence due to worn cartilage behind her knee cap that was causing her a lot of pain. On Tuesday, she was a big pain to the Vikings, as she recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds in the Lakers’ 60-49 victory.

Lorimer’s presence also sparked a big game by fellow Lakers’ post player Jessica Lewakowski, who added 16 points and seven rebounds.

“It was nice to have both of them back,” said Lakers’ coach Rich Hyde, whose team is now 15-3 overall and 9-3 in the Lakes Eight Conference. “They put some big numbers up for us.

“Evie’s still not at 100 percent, and she’s obviously playing through it all. When she comes out she’ll try to stretch it out and rub it down. She’s just having to play through the pain.”
