The Buccaneers held a 39-27 advantage in shots, but still trailed 4-1 midway through the third period.
The comeback started when Ian Hibbard scored off an assist from Doug Zelenka. Austin Way then scored an unassisted goal to make it 4-3, then Will Verduin tied the game at 4-4 in the closing moments, assisted by Doug Zelenka and Tom Zelenka.
The teams played eight minutes of scoreless overtime hockey before the game was declared a tie.
Hibbard also scored a second-period goal for Grand Haven, which is now 16-6-1 overall and 6-4-1 in conference play.
Zach Kooi made 23 saves for the Bucs, who host East Grand Rapids for their final regular-season game on Saturday. The puck drops at The Edge Ice Arena in Holland at 3 p.m.
Following Saturday’s game is a special “Skate with the Bucs” event, where Grand Haven players will join family and fans on the ice.
